Test How Fast Your Web Site Loads in Foreign Countries

Most responsible Web site owners test their site’s loading speed to make sure visitors are not waiting more than a few seconds to see pictures and other content. But, while most of us think to test the speed from servers in our own countries, we sometimes forget to speed test for a wide variety of countries.

Go to Loads.in is an all-around Web site speed tester that gives us the ability to test site speed on all major continents and with all major browsers.

Enter your Web site’s URL on the homepage and click start.

Loads.in first tests your Web site in Ashbury, USA. Those results display within seconds.

Just beneath the results, choose a continent and then choose a country for your next round of results.

Next, choose a browser to simulate in the speed test, then click Go.

Results display in the same way as the original. For our test, Online-Tech-Tips.com loaded 4x’s slower in Bucharest, Romania than Ashburn, USA.

For fun, we tested Web sites like Twitter and YouTube, too. Both were slower in Romania and Thailand than in the USA. We like being able to test our site’s speed in so many other countries, but it would be nice to be able to test in all countries at once rather than one country at a time. The information provided by Loads.in is quite valuable, but would be more valuable with an across-the-world, one-click speed test.
